Add device not updating default name
In beta 22 if you go to add a new device to a server the Homekit Name field will just default to the first name that appears in that dialogue and won’t update to the name of Newley selected items.
So do you mean that you select "Device A" and that's the name, then you decide you really want "Device B" so you select that and "Device A" is still the alias name?
I just tested that and that's what it does and it's normal behavior, been that way since you requested to have the alias name defaulted to the device name. The plugin can't guess what you want to do so, yes, it assumes you selected the right device the first time or if you didn't that you want to keep the alias name that you have for the correct one.
Oh.. it worked fine for the last few betas. It started working correctly quite quickly after that original thread. Are you sure this isn’t a regression?
Yes, I'm positive, I have not changed anything on the UI until today. Unless I'm not understanding your issue.
