Text appearance settings not saving after relaunching explorer + keeps using the latest version even (1.5.5.0 Beta 5) if it's an older version

I've been having issues with trying to save the text appearance settings after I relaunch file explorer. But when I right click and go into options itself, it refreshes my saved settings So I went ahead and tried older versions and when I go into the QTTabBar options, it says up the top, "1.5.5.0 Beta 5" no matter what version I use. But with control panel tool bar, it has the right version. I've tried from 1.5.5.5 to 1.4 versions.
