Development stopped ?

Hello, did zst123 stopped working on this module ? If he did, it is a real pity because it is not so far from working on Lollipop... Also, is @shooash still trying to create his own version of xhalo ?

Thanks

Hello Pl1997,

Yes, I stopped working on this module, unfortunately.

To make this module, it needs a lot of testing across different types of phones. I have spent countless hours just sending .apk's to others just to test a few bugs. Usually a project this large will be worked on by a team instead of a single person.

This was actually my first few Android projects when I started learning how to code. I learnt coding for Android in early 2013 and started working on this module since 2013 June! It is reminiscent of my bad habits and practices. I actually wanted to rewrite it from scratch, so I created a "beta3" branch. However, my new code broke a lot of features on my new phone. Furthermore, many people wanted a version to target Lollipop, but I don't have a lollipop phone so that is going to be a lot of remote testing.

I stopped development was because of this big hurdle. :(

Regards, zst123

Hi! I forked it to experiment with flags and fixes/workarounds for some annoying bugs. Using test builds on n5100, but to make it usable had to recompile MultiWindowSidebar to use another flag for multiwindow. I'll get some time to clean and reupload the code (current thread on git doesn't work), may be to sign the forked builds properly (currently build it with AIDE) and publish them (if @zst123 allows). But I don't feel I am any good maintainer as I don't know if and when I get time to fix new issues and I lack knowledge and experience.

Thank you for this answer @zst123, I hope that @shooash will be able to finalize the compatibilty update for Android Lollipop...

Best regards

Regarding @shooash's fork and the version on xposed (which may be the same--I haven't looked), this project should probably have a license...
