Auto-whitelist doesn't work
Expected behavior If auto-adding to whitelist new apps is enabled in settings, apps installed with Yalp should be added to whitelist for auto-updating.
Actual behavior They don't. You have to add them manually.
Steps to reproduce Disable blacklist, enable auto-whitelist in settings and install any app through Yalp.
Your setup Samsung Galaxy A8 2018, Android 8.0.0, Yalp v0.45-legacy
I can confirm this. Very strange is that me and my wife have two identical phones (Xiaomi Redmi Note 4) with LOS 15.1 and two identical tablets (Google Nexus 9) with LOS 14.1 and on one phone and one Tablet auto-whitelist works while it fails on the other ones. Absolutely same configuration! Did the whole LOS and Yalp (ota-contemporary-45.zip) flashing and initial configuration side by side on the table. Then I installed the first apps and on one phone/tablet they immediately went to the whitelist on the others not ... I'm not able to see any difference. O_o Whats going on here? Auto-whitelisting seems to be very fragile.

Same problem here. I have auto-whitelist and automatic install via root enabled. After installing an app, if I immediately go to settings and look at the whitelist, I see the newly-installed app checked in the whitelist. If I then exit yalp store (and swipe-close it via the task switcher), then relaunch it, it's no longer checked in the whitelist. If I then select it, it persists across app starts.
It's behaving like an in-memory database is updated when the app is installed, but then isn't being persisted back to disk via a save or flush.
