The problem

Although on the list of existing conversations there is no unread message, the iOS wire symbol as well as the dot over the back arrow within a specific conversation indicates that there are some. On the desktop app there is no unread message and also no symbols.

I tried to backup the conversations, logout and login again. But as soon as I recover the backup the unread message seems to be back again (which makes of course sense if the unread message is somewhere hidden). I also tried the "find first unread message" troubleshoot function. After deleting the history of this conversation the troubleshooting function still tell me that this one is the first unread, which makes no sense in my opinion.

Is there e.g. a debug command to set all conversations to read?

I have the same issue. Apparently the unread message is within a group chat. I can identify the group, by checking every conversation. 1 group is the only one that doesnt have the "new message" dot in the arrow top left. No matter how much I scroll back and forth in that conversation, it still says unread and the unread message badge shows at the homescreen. Problem appeared first 1 month ago.

Experiencing the same issue. Subjectively the issue seems to appear after I receive likes or liked messages of others, and having already viewed the message on the PC Client. opening the iOS app afterwards, the notification counter decreases, but persists at n notifications. With n Gradually increasing over time. At the moment I'm at 4 "unread" messages. The debugging tools show the chat which allegedly contains the messages, but there are no unread messages. I've been having these problems for about 1-2 months.

App version: 3.103 (4825) iOS 15.5 iPhone 8

Exact same issue here for months now. It is really annoying.

Dear developers, what do you need from us to debug this?
