ATF1502AS-EVB-PLCC: Provide a PLCC Variant EVB

Open swetland opened this issue 2 years ago • 5 comments

  • Created a new symbol for the PLCC version which has a different pinout
  • Widened the board to allow for the larger PLCC socket.
  • The silkscreen numbers and header pin order matches that of the TQFP version of the board, but everything is routed to the correct TQFP pins.
  • WARNING: As of this commit the board has not been fabbed or tested.

Can you update the README as well please?

What's your preference on merging? Now or after it's fabbed?

Willdo. Waiting to merge until I've got the boards back and at least smoke tested seems sensible, but I have no strong preferences.

Something I thought of, but wasn't sure if it'd be worth doing was maybe replacing the silkcreened pin numbers with the pad names (maybe just on the back side of the PCB). I used the pad names for the pin descriptive text in my -PLCC variant symbol.

To clarify, are you talking about pad names from the prjbureau database?

Yes, which match the "MC" column in the pinout table in section 15.2 of the datasheet.

@swetland Have you had a chance to test the boards? I don't mind merging as-is to be honest

I did assemble the PLCC board and things appear to work (can program the part, LEDs light up, etc). I didn't test it extensively beyond that, but it's pretty straightforward, so I think merging it would be fine.

Thanks! There is now a conflict in README, could you update it please?

Done.
