Cannot confirm this. I don't know how the app works, but over a year I have been able to watch YT without ads. Apparently, the "backend" updates itself, because when you go to About it tells you a fresh build version, but the latest release on GitHub is 0.3.1

I confirm. A few days ago YouTube returned with advertising. I don't know how but they managed to insert the ads during the video, although the original version is not installed but this one (ads free) is installed..

I have WebOS 5.5 circa 2018, the only ads I see is on the home screen taking 75% of the whole screen and in the search results autoplaying muted. No ads for me in the video stream yet

The app was running ad-free for me for months until maybe a week ago, now there are ads in-video regularly. TV is LG UQ7050 WebOS version 03.34.00

Can confirm this. Just tried to play a video and a 30 seconds ad played before the video.

The video I played has been playing now for 10 minutes without ads in the middle, only the ad that played at the beginning.

The app worked flawlessly for almost a year until today

same for me since one day after 1 month running fine. Ads come back. 0.3.3. Installa /desinstall/install again same issue.
