Any plans to update dependencies?

I came across this project since I'm looking for ML-based approach to segment Chinese words. However, I came across several errors while trying to run a simple example on my local computer. I think it has to do with older dependencies. Are there any plans to update the packages for this project to make it more accessible for modern services? Python3, Pytorch, overrides can be updated.
