Supports both x86 and x64. Currently implements four techniques:

  • Profiling CPUID against FYL2XP1 (most reliable)
  • Checking highest low function leaf
  • Checking invalid leaf
  • Checking for known hypervisor vendors (KVM, HyperV, VMware, Xen, Parallels, VirtualBox)
