Docker-Compose support
Dealing with containers by having to script out all the vctl commands is not efficient. Are there any plans to support accepting docker-compose files for mobility?
That would allow me to use those deployed in other environments that may be using Kubernetes or other developers/team members using Docker Desktop.
In the end, it would also allow me to fully switch over to using VMWare Workstation and vctl instead of having to use both. 😉
Totally agree. FWIW, it's something we're working on. Lots of catch up to do in general, but it's moving quickly =)
I guess it would be nice to have DOCKER_HOST redirecting to VMware Fusion.
Is there any update to this, like using brew install docker and then docker context update default --docker ... to point at the VMware Fusion instance?
Any word on this?
fourteen months later, "moving quickly" might not be true anymore. Would be curious if there are any updates on this; lack of docker-compose (and other pieces that make it not a drop-in replacement for docker) have really killed this for me as any kind of daily driver replacement.
Still waiting for this to happen...
interested about this feature too.
