Hi – crazy thought occurred to me to run coldfront as an ood app. We support python, so I think we're set on our side.

Obviously there’d be some legwork on your side to boot as a user and connect to a DB with whatever privileges you need.

One of our customers had something similar (it started failing and so I think it prompted this idea). They've replaced that OnDemand app with our ColdFront-like app.

Feel free to close as won't do/can't do if it's not feasible or even just more complexity than it's worth.

@johrstrom This is a great idea. I think the more ways we can get our apps working together the better.

Curious if you can share any more details on your ColdFront-like app?

I'd have to find it. Honestly it's an old app and it suddenly started to fail is the only reason why I looked into it.

But yea, I can pull it and see what the license is. But I know it was a read only DB - what started failing was the shadow db sync. But in any case - I'd guess that it was not as feature rich as coldfront.
