Hi,

interested to look at @csedl/stimulus_dropdown?

It has something that i'd miss on yours, at most:

• its built on floating-ui
• the functionality for z-indexes, see the rails-side helper.
• the functionality around the data-src attribute on the panel.

My one is much more quick-and-dirty, but I never want to miss these features and I have been looking for these solutions for a long time.

If you want, you can adopt or integrate these ideas, but then please write my name inside the package, as it is an advertisement for me :)

yours is nicer described, together it would be better :)
