compatability to vs1053 MP3 shield

i think i have a new version of the board which is the vs1053 MP3 shield. does the code that you describe for the MP3_player_shield is the same for the new version ? its just that we want to know which pins are free for us to use and we want to lnow if the pins that you use in the older versions are the same for the new version.
