This mailing list post describes a similar situation to https://github.com/simon-weber/Autoplaylists-for-Google-Music/issues/36, but at the level of playlists themselves.

Another idea along these lines is instant search over titles.

Here's another mention of this. They agreed that instant search would help, so I'm going to go with that.
