Bug description

While editing an image (before sending it), if you enable or disable color correction settings, the UI freezes, removing the entire UI, leaving the image alone, with no UI or UX to do anything.

Steps to reproduce

  • in a conversation, select an image you want to send
  • edit the image (pen icon or resize icon)
  • enable or disable android color correction

Actual result: The entire user interface is frozen, with no buttons to do anything. Expected result: Keep the UI/UX intact during the edit except for the color on the screen, but this is managed by the operating system and not by Signal.

I have added this to our internal bug tracked. In the meantime, in my testing, even though the buttons are not visible, you may use the back button to return to the previous screen and restart the image editing process. Alternatively, please select your color correction settings before entering the image editor.
