Doesn't work

Clicking hide or so widgets does nothing. I'm on macOS Sonoma 14.2.1

Can't reproduce this (neither with 14.2.1 nor with 14.3). Does it work when you toggle them from the system preferences (desktop & dock) ?

Using on a fresh update of 14.3.1 and the widgets are not hiding/showing, just always visible.

This is also my experience; the app doesn't change anything when I click the toggle (widgets are still visible). I just installed it on Sequoia.

I use multiple spaces, am on a single-screen MBP M3, and don't use Stage Manager.

Ok it works with changing the System Settings toggle and makes the widgets disappear, but I was testing it while using Mission Control to show my desktop. It seems they'll always be visible when I'm looking at my desktop, but they'll disappear from behind windows when I'm not focused on the desktop. I didn't realize this is how this feature worked at the OS level, but I think I can make it work. Perhaps the others here had the same experience.
