Modeling: Insert Tool
Hi Super Devs!
Modo, Maya and Blender have some cool Insert Tools. It allows to make a custom meshes lib and make booleans with them. It's fast and productive for sci-fi modeling. Could you, please, make it?
It's possible to make a custom kitbush lib:

Here is refs from Blender: https://hardops-manual.readthedocs.io/en/latest/inserts/ - Booleans Method. HardOps tool https://machin3.io/MESHmachine/docs/plugs_introduction/ - PolyBridge Method. MeshMachine Tool. My test https://youtu.be/Ets57jWcEG8
Modo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ogtkw2bzxk8 https://snefer.artstation.com/projects/qddqe
There is such a tool for Maya but I dunno remember it.
Houdini: https://vimeo.com/251036214 - But I would like to see such a free to use tool. Or officially supported.
It looks I did GUI with Pyside2. https://youtu.be/AhR3RN-ui1o https://pastebin.com/K1ZERBw5
It's easy to make such a tool now.
Hi.
It looks like I did such a tool.

It can Bridge, Boolean, Transfer Normals, Save a mesh with preview, select mesh with custom library. I'll make video and put it Orbolt for free asap. I just need to test it in production a bit.
That's great! Whenever you're ready, we'd love to take a look at how you did it and if you're willing, consider adding it to the toolset
Hi! Sorry for long delay. I did the tool.
Here is the preview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2osQBFR-CO0&lc=z22yg1iazwulvfpxq04t1aokg40hgfojw1qakgecbjuhrk0h00410
And here is the asset: https://github.com/mifth/mifthtools/raw/master/houdini/otls/modeling/mifth_insert_mesh.otllc
And here is the meshes folder to test. meshes.zip
You can try it. I think this can be even better than Blender's MeshMachine. As the tool can make magic with normals.
Any update on this Tool? Will it be merged to the main GameDev toolkit?
I can put it at orbolt and make a tutorial. But if the guys want they can handle it at GD tools.
