Widevine protected content not playing after update

We are updating our application to use the current Shaka player embedded. I realized that there is a new class ShakaPlayer which contains some of the API which was earlier in ShakaPlayerView. So we updated our code accordingly.

I changed our wv license proxy server configuration code from: [playerView configure:@"drm.servers.com\\.widevine\\.alpha" withString:wv_proxy_license]; to [player configure:@"drm.servers.com\\.widevine\\.alpha" withString:wv_proxy_license]; I also tried: [player configure:ShakaPlayerLicenseServerConfig(@"com.widevine.alpha") withString:wv_proxy_license];

Still WV content is not playing and we get "Error Code:" 7001 in the log. Other streams are playing.

Build and run environment

  • macOS 10.15 Catalina, Xcode 12.4
  • shaka player embedded from master (dabbeb5b)
  • iPhone SE 2020, iOS 14.4
