This should be fixed with the updates we did to ref-resolving for JSON Forms 3.0. Feel free to reopen in case this error still occurs.

Fixed in JSON Forms 3.0 with https://github.com/eclipsesource/jsonforms/pull/1834

I'll close this issue for now as there are no plans to support another renderer set as part of the JSON Forms project itself.
