change input from microphone to line in?

how can I do that? is it possible?

It should take the default recording device, I’ve used it fine with line in though I may have had to set line in to be viewed as a microphone device somewhere audio preferences.

Could you give us some more into about your current setup such as OS?

Thanks for the response. My current setup is a Raspberry Pi 3 with an audioinjector sound card. The card has audio in as well as mic in.

Oh hmm, I haven’t tried that setup on RPI before only on windows so I’ll have to default to someone more knowledgeable on this one, unfortunately.

@djloot Did you get this working? I’m also trying to set the input to something other than the default sound card
