Is this issue about using the app with another wallet? Having to transfer funds to the wallet built in the app is cumbersome. I would like to use the app with Electrum, and I am willing to add webLN support to Electrum for that.
It's more about connecting to 3rd party services from within the app. For example to offer ways to buy bitcoin from within the app and have it sent directly to your wallet.
I can understand it's a bit cumbersome at the moment. There can be issues transferring between apps on the same device. The app and LSP in the background is opening a channel to your device the first time you receive a payment, so can take a bit longer than normal.
I have plans in the future to offer remote node connectivity to support home nodes.

Thank you for your answer. I think you should not bundle a lightning wallet with the app, but instead interface with existing wallet apps. It is quite wasteful to open channels just to pay a single merchant. This is not how lightning is supposed to work.
I am willing to help interfacing with Electrum, I think both apps would benefit from that.
