Need a Documentation for Plugins

First of all thanks for such a wonderful FOSS project!

I would really appreciate if you could point me to any documentation for plugins API (especially the GUI stuff). Or a few simple examples would be really helpful.

Looking forward to giving back to the FOSS community. 😀
