IE8: Translate directive

Does anyone had issues with angular-gettext directive on IE8? On my web application, it's duplicating the tag with the directive, showing both original and translated text. Using the filter, it works fine. On log: Object doesn't support this property or method < p translate >. angular: 1.2.8 angular-gettext: 2.1
