AD410 mechanical chime setting
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. The WAF is plummeting.
For me, the biggest advantage of this awesome integration is that the doorbell can be made to have most important features when it is shutoff from the internet. It is impossible to use the closed-source app, however.
Recently, my indoor mechanical chime stopped working, probably from the setting. But there is no way to get it back on now, since the app doesn't work. That is really a dealbreaker for users when features on even dumb items are no longer reliable. (Also, it would be great to automate when no one can bother you at night by ringing the bell.)
Describe the solution you'd like Add a switch to choose which chimes work.
Describe alternatives you've considered The Amcrest View Pro still works, but doesn't give access to these settings.
Additional context This implementation requires hacking the app, of course. I hope it can be done.
I'll bet the use of the little device to enable the chime fried your doorbell itself. Happened to mine from, I think, being borderline powered by enough current. I haven't really missed it. I just use google homes to ring now through the house.
That was a good theory, but doesn't seem to apply in my case. I put a multimeter to the doorbell, and there was no change with a doorbell button press. I also swapped out for another doorbell, and it doesn't work either, unfortunately. I think that it must be a setting in the doorbell.
EDIT: Yeah, I let the doorbell access the internet temporarily, and could change to the desired chime setting.
I have had this happen to mine, Is the ring around the doorbell button no longer blue green but bright blue? The only remedy for this is to factory reset doorbell by pressing the reset button by the micro sd card for 10 seconds or so until it says device is being reset and setup doorbell again.
