Menu transparency animation

What I wanted was side menu that was hidden, after pressing the button in the navigation bar it would slide out to reveal the menu.

By default it animates scaling / transparency to reveal the menu while its sliding open. I can remove the scaling with the "scaleMenuView" property. However I see no way to remove the transparency animation.

Can this be made an option also?
