Are you using an actual Google Chromecast device or some kind of mediaplayer or TV that is Chromecast compatible?

Version 1.8.0 is ancient, please download the latest release.

Which version of Race Control and VLC are you using?

Not sure what's up with that, on my VLC it works fine. Try upgrading to the latest VLC just to be sure. Either way I would recommend to start using...

If it still doesn't work with 3.0.12, please paste the debug output from VLC (menu 'Extra' -> 'Messages' -> select 'Debug' verbosity and then open the stream).
