Conflict with Android 10 system gestures

On Android 10 AOSP with system gestures enabled, swiping the delete key or the space bar triggers the system back gesture. This makes it unusable. Is it possible for simple ketboard to capture the swipe and not pass it to the system?

I don't have this issue on my phone running LineageOS 18.1 ( Android 11) or my tablet running LineageOS 19 ( Android 12). Do you still have this issue?

I stopped using system gestures because of this bug. I shall test soon and report back. Thanks for replying.
