While there are clear benefit of a client-only solution, the fact that the generated HTML is output to the console is the major limitation. Having an option to "Share URL" of the generated HTML would make it interoperable, remotely retrievable from other solutions/software.

This may imply a minimal DB/state server-side (and the corresponding costs/complexity), but it's sounds worthwhile. As an alternative the template's HTML/images could be exported to imgur/pastebin-like free text/image hosting services so that no state is needed.
