That will be a great enhancement. Thanks for bringing that up. In fact, I've planned http config api for next minor release to fully facilitate a external management dashboard.

but I am guessing this will be perf hit due to bookkeeping so I expect we should allow recording such thing only if the user has explicitly enabled it :)

Any progress on this? It would be super cool to have a web interface.

I would love to just have an API so that I could add and remove services from the server.

+1 for UI or atleast API, to be able to add new services on the fly

Apparently there is actually live reload support already, so maybe one can add new services on the fly by rewriting the config file...
