Unfortunately, this API is not yet ported to Opera. I just checked the latest release and still discarding signals are being discarded!

I just tried and it works for me. I get blue icon for Gmail with "tab has notification permission" title.

True. The script is not being injected to the PDF files.

It seems like a Chrome bug. I could not find how to fix this from the extension side. Since this happens from `chrome://discards/`, you can report it to https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/list

Can you provide more info? Turn the debugging mode on from the options page then open your browser console (Ctrl + Shift + J). See if you get any info...
