Place comments or notes on torrents/files
Ability to place comments or notes on torrents and/or files in it, so you remember why you downloaded it or what you are doing with it etc. When you have hundreds of torrents it is hard to remember all the different information about each file/torrent.

What's wrong with labels? As for files i can't possibly think of a reason one might want that.
Label them!
I highly doubt per files' comments will ever be implemented. You can always create a "descript.ion" inside torrents directories.
I have been using labels but have not yet been able to resolve the issue, might be the way I use them as it feels so clunky especially with #4417 and #4369 but so is this suggestion.
I know the per file will never be implemented to as the limitation in the BitTorrent protocol makes big torrents with whole filmography and so forth clunky with #4385 (Where transferred pieces are divided by torrent, not by file) and other issues. But I still would like to see a feature where you can place individual files in a torrent to different save paths.

Not per file but per torrent.
Labels are meant to do other things with the ASM feature https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/issues/4696
Therefore it would be great if you can add a comment to the entire torrent not per file (ex. the original source) and write the comment within the torrent folder as .txt or .info or whatever. Jdownloader and other download managers have been doing this since years. It's a great feature and totally independent to labels (related to categorization and save paths).
Would "tags" (PR #6911) be what you're looking for?
You can put a link (the source for ex.) using an editable comment field, tags are useful for other tasks not that.
Tags are meant to improve torrent filtering while comments are useless for that and would give info about a specific torrent (source link, password for files, etc.).
As it stands, you can put a link in a tag if you want.

Although there is some discussion on the PR about whether to restrict the contents of tags.
Despite whatever implementation of tags we get in the future... tags are used for categorizing (and therefore shared among multiple torrents) and comments are torrent specific, unique.
Different things.

It will be great if someone implement this.
To me, this will be very useful feature. At this moment, i manually edit *.torrent files from %LOCALAPPDATA%\qBittorrent\BT_backup directory with third-party editor.
It's not the same thing as Labels, because Comments usually contain direct links to pages where torrent files were downloaded from.
It would be really useful to me. I only need to save the page who shared the torrent
I would love a place to have public comments on torrents, like another old torrent client used to have. It was great since people often linked to troubleshooting guides and also alerted about false positives.
This is really important issue, we need the ability to add a comment to an individual torrent, separate from the ability to add a tag or label
