Manual search is running. Unable to start Daily search

Last few days Medusa keeps looping a manual search for Robot Chicken - S05E01 - Saving Private Gigli. I tried marking that episode as downloaded/archived/ignored/skipped. Removed the series, restarted Medusa, added it again. Same issue.

I've noticed that I had The Russell Howard Hour - S05E01 - Episode 1 in search. After I marked that episode as downloaded and restarted and it stopped. Since this episode aired on 09.09. it matches the time this started happening. After putting it back to wanted it would start to search for S05E01 of any show I did a manual search for.

In hindsight Medusa would work after restart up to a point I did any manual search and then this would start happening. Normal searches would stop working because of this manual search looping.

I still have this happening from time to time. I just restart Medusa after I'm done doing manual searches.

So also mentioned in the other issue thread. There is a known bug where it starts a search because the manual search page doesn't have any results yet. And when it's not getting any results, it loops. So when closing the manual search page, it should also stop.

Can you verify if this is frontend triggered. Or also keeps looping after closing all tabs. Keep in mind it could also be a tab on like a phone?

I can't reproduce this. So i'll need a larger set of debug logs, to have a chance at solving this.

@p0psicles I had so many things marked as wanted it’s entirely possible. I wasn’t able to narrow it down as much as this example but marking off a portion of unrelated items as no longer wanted cleared up the issue for me. I think it’s the same issue. Also in my case closing the front end did not help.

When this happens to me it's definitely after I did some manual search and with the tab closed. I'm working over the weekend but I'll try to reproduce it when I get time.

Also keep an eye on the network tab of the browsers dev tools. I'm curious if somehow the frontend is queueing up a lot of manual searches.
