[Feature request] Fit upgrader
Problem
I have a capital ship, it's got the "Old" fit. The doctrine fit has been updated. I want to generate a shopping list "Multi buy" so I can but the mods in jita and courier them out to my deployment.
User experience
- Import old fitting
- Import new fitting
- Select old fitting tab
- Fit -> Shopping list generator (Words are hard) -> Show compatible fittings in a sub menu with their name
- Click and display a window with the mods needed to upgrade the fit in the multi buy format
Let me know if this isn't something that is desired.
We have a multi buy export that you can use, yeah?

unless you're looking specifically for something that says "I have fit 1 and fit 2, and I want to get only the modules that are different" in which case... I think that would be easy enough to manually discard the modules that the multi buy export produces?
Unless I'm missing the purpose here (feel free to elaborate 😊), imo this would be a not insignificant amount of GUI work for not much payoff
I have a helper script for exactly this purpose. It takes multibuy of old fit, of new fit and sees what the differences are - i.e. what could be sold, what has to be bought. I guess there is some merit of integrating it into pyfa since pyfa also knows which modules can be considered as equivalents.
@blitzmann Yes - I certainly could do it by hand like that :)
@DarkFenX Would it be alot of work to implement this functionallity?
@aydjay to be fair not a lot, but when you have only a handful a minutes to check bug tracker let alone code something, it needs planning. Sorry for that!
Just trying to gauge how much of an ask it was, wasn't trying to give it the hurry along!
Thanks for your efforts. 😀
