[ISSUE] Movie playback hang on HDD after new IOP toolchain implemented
Movie playback hangs after new IOP toolchain implemented.
There is no exception reported, so it is probably a synchronization issue.
A work around is to use lower DMA setting or enable Accurate Reads.
I suppose it is the same old issue I talked about occasionally, which is present since SP193 implemented the proper streaming, but SOMETHING was wrong during the mega-commits.
I suspected a threading-issue, but IDK.
Too high speed/performance seems to make the chance of it being triggered more likely!
So... I think that the problem is LONG present (maybe even before SP193 L's "mega commits"), but the likelyhood of it being triggered is higher, how higher the performance is!
Can we have trace with
$ ps2client -h 192.168.1.45 listen

Do you mean all FMVs in games will hang in OPL v1.1.0 if Mode 1 is not on? In other words, Mode 1 is basically a necessity in OPL v1.1.0?
@uyjulian On what games does this happen?
Asking cuz I'm testing out the latest beta 1.2.0 (commit ea72571) and movie playback was fine on default settings, at least with the Silent Hill 3 opening FMV, and a couple other games I tested. No hangs or stutters or anything.
