Tried latest build 03d69dbf45e213eb945e8afb31d1ac7fca4aa19a and see this in bitwig:

Hmm, the VST3 doesn't want to load at all:

Seems the former is related to global scale factor, with 100% scale it does fit.

The later still happens and should probably get a different ticket :#

I have heard from another user on Windows that the VST3 doesn't load for them in Bitwig either, I'll take a look at it

Since global scale value does work for VST3, LV2 and AU, I think this might be a bug in clap-juce-extensions. Not surprising, I've found that even some built-in JUCE components don't correctly behave when a global scale factor is set, it's easy to forget it exists I guess.

With the latest clap-juce-extensions update this is still an issue.

For instance in Reaper:

Clap and VST3 0.9.1 and nightly both non-functional for me in Bitwig 5.3.1 on Mac 15.3, gui of many patches are broken, almost entirely unresponsive and many missing elements on multiple patches. Bitiwig then became unresponsive after attempting to use nightly. Needed to restart Bitwig.

Can you give some examples of patches have a broken GUI? I'm testing it now on bitwig, but I can't reproduce any of these problems so far.

Sure, this patch might work on first load, but as soon as I pay some audio that it processes, the GUI becomes completely unresponsive, however it's not consisitent and will sometimes begin working again, however it's largely unusable. Not sure if this is an issue with Plugdata or the Patch?

Patch is built for 0.9.1 and 've had similar problems with his other patches.

If you're not able to reproduce, let me know and I can make a short video.

Thanks for helping me track this down! I'm testing spectraveil now, but no problems yet.

If you're not able to reproduce, let me know and I can make a short video.

That would help a lot!

Actually, I do get the unresponsive GUI now. Switching the focus back to the main bitwig window and then to the plugin fixes it, but still pretty annoying

timothyschoen avatar Feb 23 '25 11:02 timothyschoen

Ah great, glad you were able to reproduce

Any updates on this issue, is is something that can be solved?
