Can't interact with UI elements under Peek recorder

Here is my system configuration:

Peek version 1.5.1 Gnome version 3.36.5 Wayland desktop NixOS

I'm unable to interact with UI elements under the Peek recorder, the recorder pane takes my mouse focus.

Let me know if there is any other information I can share!

I have exactly the same problem when trying to record a non-Electron apps. I have Firefox in the foreground and Slack invisible behind it . When I click on an element in the browser in the Peek window, the click passes through and Slack comes to the foreground, as if Firefox were invisible. As a side note, when trying to screen share my desktop, only contents of Electron apps is visible - the other apps are pitch black.

My config:

Same here on Fedora 34 with GNOME Shell 40.4 and Peek 1.5.1.

Also tested with GDK_BACKEND=x11 peek.

I have the same problema, with fedora 36, gnome shell 42.1, and not work with GDK_BACKEND=x11 peek

Same problem with Peek 1.5.1 on my Fedora 34.

The issue I think is Wayland. I switched to X.org and peek works.
