VC vs MVs link types.
The VC and MVs link types are quite similar, and perhaps should be merged.
One subtle issue is that, in some cases, the connected phrases are subordinate, and sometimes occur almost as peers (i.e. as if a coordinating conjunction was used). This makes the usage of VC/MVs somewhat inconsistent with AJ, SJ, VJ, etc.
Note also: some/may uses of the VC link do not link backwards far enough. e.g. "He failed to appear, so we went on without him", the VC should go to "failed" instead of "appear".
This is a low-priority, long-term project.
Additional issue: MVs points at the first word of the (manner)-adverbial phrase. Need another link to point at the head-word (which can sometimes be a verb!)
