The app is being re-added to Google Play Store :tada:

I'm still interested in having a Google Play Services free app for F-Droid but unfortunately, I have not the time to do it myself.

It would need a foss flavor for that. There are too many proprietary components which are not acceptable at F-Droid: Crashlytics and all those other Google Ad/Tracking libraries, Facebook Audience etc.
