Acrobat Reader DC 2021 cannot run the default local email client
Thanks for Your hard work.
Unfortunately, I have a PDF form with a button, which should: a) generate an .XML file, and b) attach it to a newly created email message window, launching the default email application on Your system.
This code works in a "normal" installation of Adobe Reader under Windows. It doesn't with acrordrdc with Xubuntu 22.04 (Thunderbird-snap being the default email client).
Where should I poke? :)

Can you share this form? Unfilled of course.

Here's a US form with the same issue. Apparently the only way to submit this form is via email, using the wide submit button at the end of the form. (IRS.gov form 4506-B, rev May 2024)

The installed acrobat reader offers several ways to invoke email, but the configuration dialog screens are non-functional.
