I tried on a new hardware the last version 0.8.3.

On each roms tested no way to play because each character was set to the left, because the "azrock led controller" was detected instead of "none".

It was working perfect with my previous set up (hardware) in 0.6.3...

Have you tried the latest dev build on the hardware?

Until/unless this is fixed, just go to the controller settings and click Clear Analog for every button. In fact, this may as well be the solution unless the devs find another way of detecting controllers that isn't "look for everything that has the word controller in it"
