SECURITY WPA in crypted mode ?

will it be possible to accept the idea of using wpa passphrase result instead of the original key in readable form ?

wpapassphrase ssid key_in_clear ==> GIVING PSK="crypted key result"

for info I tried to put psk in hostapd options part, but it gave me an error for original original wap key missing
