Describe the feature request

I guess, it would be cool to have a nice icon for the NuGet package (and the Gitter community). I would provide one on my own, but I'm actually not that good in such things 😕

Hmm, I'm not known for my good looking design either, but I can give it a shot. Anyone who has an idea for an icon can submit it to me!

For now I'm thinking something minimalistic, based on the Chart.js icon.

I’m also not a designer. But I got an idea that I suggest here:

It’s super rough, spend like 10 minutes or so to do this. More work is definitely necessary. But I think you get the idea. I haven’t convinced myself that this looks good :-) It is based on the original Blazor logo if that isn’t obvious.

Just for fun I spend some more time with this and got the result below. I stole the colors from https://www.chartjs.org/ and https://dotnet.microsoft.com/platform/community

I played around a bit and all I could produce looked awful. Basically I really like the lower left design and I tried to make the shape of the Blazor flame continue the curve of the teal pie chart slice.

I would be grateful if someone could help me out on this 😅

I remember that there was some guy who did the logo / icon for https://github.com/chkr1011/MQTTnet. I have to search a bit, maybe he is available and can help us here.

hi @mseyock I was thinking about an icon that merges the Blazor icon and the ChartJs icon.

@pekspro came up with some designs which I really like. They take the general shape of the Blazor logo and merge it with a pie chart that uses ChartJs' color scheme. Personally, I like the one in the lower left corner the most but I'm open to other suggestions :D

Whatever logo we end up using, it should be in svg format. Based on that I want to generate icons for the repository, a NuGet icon, embed it into the samples of this project and so on.

I like the top right the most but this is still very rough and I just kind of winged it with the curves (they're not as round as they should be). I also think it looks better without that lower "spike" but we should keep in mind that this "spike" is part of the original blazor logo.

As we currently have a direction going i decided to get make other design ideas over the weekend. Currently i just played a little bit with the colors and added some curves.

Idk if it fits better. I'm still working on it :)

@pekspro @Joelius300 @mseyock these are all nice designs and I would be happy with either one. I'm thinking of creating a poll where everyone who's interested can vote on the available designs and option with the most votes wins.

These icons are still as awesome as when I last saw them! Let's leave this to whoever will take over this library :)
