I stumbled upon Repsond7 and really like the concept. But it seems like the founder moved on with his saas cms Fixture. Is respond still a way to go or won´t it be maintained in near future?

Yes, Respond is still being maintained. The two products have a different focus.

Respond (https://respondcms.com) is focused on developers and enthusiasts that want a platform that they can build on and remix. It has a focused feature set and I view it as mostly complete. The technology stack is LAMP, so it requires ongoing maintenance. My development time on Respond is focused on bug fixes, dependency upgrades, and issues raised in Github.

Fixture (https://fixture.app) is aimed at developers and entrepreneurs that are serious about building and reselling websites. It is built in the AWS cloud. So, it is easy to secure, maintain, and scale a fleet of websites. It also has a much deeper feature set aimed at consumers. It has deep e-commerce integration and a visual style that makes it easier for non-technical users to consume.

Regardless of your direction, both are being maintained going forward. I hope this helps.
