Some markdown elements are not styled until you interact with them by adding a newline. For example, add a newline to a header element to see the text enlarge and change color.

See the attached image. Is this normal?

If the user does not interact with the document and it is opened in ThiefMD, the headers and other parts appear as plain text style.

Has this file been used/synced/modified in Windows? We're tracking some issues around Windows Line Endings

Yes, it is synced with windows. Maybe that is the problem.
