Not working on Buster on RPI4

Having carefully rechecked all the wiring etc, I am stuck without any output:

thread 'main' panicked at 'Too many bad samples! Last error: TimeoutWait', src/main.rs:219:21 note: run with RUST_BACKTRACE=1 environment variable to display a backtrace

Not sure how to troubleshoot from here. The ATtiny flashed OK and the compile builds OK. Any suggestions
