I have installed redis-server on localhost, on fresh installing redis-commander was able to connect to local Redis server using redis-commander . When tried to connect to Redis server hosted on AWS EC2 got error
Command redis-commander --redis-host redis.abc.com --redis-port 443 --redis-tls as I was able to connect to the same server using redis-cli -h redis.abc.com -p 443 Redis error ParserError: Protocol error, got "H" as reply type byte. Please report this.

After that onwards when trying to connect local redis getting the same error, using redis-commander

redis-cli -h redis.abc.com -p 443 would be without TLS. But you configured redis-commander to use TLS. You checked to use the correct setting for localhost respective AWS server connection? And googling for this error message (it is a error by IOREDIS library, not redis-commander itself) shows a lot of hits in regard to a proxy in between the client and Redis. HTTPS port 443 is really the correct one? Please check all settings / ports / hostnames again.
