webcam.js with flask - webcam not loading

I'm really struggling to get my webcam to open from within a flask application using webcamjs. The demos for webcamjs work fine for me, and I'm using an https server for my app. I've searched through the Issues here and across the web and just can't get the webcam to come on from within the app. (I've gotten it to come up with python's CV2, but I couldn't figure out how to include a button to take and save the picture).

The relevant sections from my main.py flask code for my app is as follows:

webcam.js and webcam.swf are in the same directory as the capture.html file.

I've tried multiple variations of similar code from forums, and I've tried on several different web browsers. The web layouts work fine, but the actual webcam will not open.

If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, I too add the same prob, you have specified the .js file location explicitly

Hi , i guess i can help you out as i successfully ran webcam with flask in google colab

The error can be divided in two script tag cannot find webcam.js as the template in running of flask and if you are using ngrok you are opening the wrong url First problem can be easily solved by using javascript code inside the script rather in the source argument like this :- <script>(whatever is in webcam.js)</script> `
