@probonopd yeah I figured that was the issue, for large bundles loop-mounting seems to be the way to go. I would say we could try to do something like that...

@probonopd I'm going off generic compression benchmarks where lz4 wins in speed by a large margin. I haven't tested lz4 in squashfs, although it looks like it's supported?

I figure you would run prelink on the binary built by nix before it is bundled.

can we have the docs separate from the refactor? I would like to pull the docs for now and perhaps the refactor later after I have more time to review....

I don't use typescript, but would be happy to add it if someone wants to do that.
