Hi Ben,

first of all congratulations for finally releasing 1.4 :)

The version byte for 1.4 is 9. How long can we trust, this will stay unchanged? Meaning, can we expect that routerdbs created today with 1.4 will be compatible with all 1.4.x-Versions? Or even all upcoming 1.x ?

Whats on the menu for 1.5?

The routerdb format will stay unchanged as much as possible. We're planning for all bigger changes now to go into the development of Itinero2.

Itinero 2 will change quite a lot compared to v1 but is also a long way off from being usable. Itinero 1 will be maintained and updated for as long as needed because quite a lot of projects (and clients) depend on it.

Obviously in 2.0 there will be a change again, but please try to keep v9 for 1.x, and if you have to increase, please clearly state this in release-notes or commits.
