It looks like the latest tags use v6.3.0, v6.3.1 ... while v was absent before.

just wondering for consistency if we should duplicate those tags, and either decide to migrate vX.y.z or stay without v.

@blink1073 that may affect your jupyter releaser ?

The tag naming is built in to releaser at the moment, based on the format used in several large projects that we looked at. I think we can either stay as-is or migrate the old tags to use the new formatting.

Both are fine with me, just wanted to make sure it is/was intentional.
